Hello world!¶
We just launched lamin.ai as a place for sharing prototypes with our beta customers and collaborators. Over time, we’ll add public releases and use this blog to explain our work.
Why Lamin? It’s a metaphor for an interfacing layer between biology and computing. Lamin proteins make up the essential filament layer that provides the cell nucleus with structural and functional support.

Fibroblasts with a stained lamin layer around the nucleus. Microscopy images of samples from a control (a, b) and a subject with Progreria (c, d) where nuclear envelopes are shaped irregularly. The image is from Paradisi et al. (2005), CC BY 2.0 via Wiki Commons.¶
